Going through a life change – new baby, job change, divorce – and want to branch out?
Novi Neighbors and Newcomers is a social and civic organization founded in 1973 as Welcome Wagon.
In the 1990s, we changed our name to better represent the many people in our organization who were no longer “new” to Novi.
All are welcome to join our organization, whether you live in Novi or a neighboring town, have just moved here or have lived here forever.
The club offers a variety of groups based on the interests of our members, for daytime and evenings... including Book Club, Lunch Bunch, Bunko and other Games, Crafts, Play Group, and Couples’ Events. If you have a special interest, we are open to new ideas and to forming new groups.
Our civic commitment is strong. We are also always thinking of new “ways and means” to raise money, and then suggestions as to how to distribute it throughout our community. Each Fall, we host a popular Fashion Show/Dinner and Raffle, supported by local businesses. Proceeds support areas of service within our community, such as the Novi Public Library and the Novi-based Teens Aiding the Cancer Community. We donate funds or items toward women's shelters, school supplies, local families in need, and Parks and Rec programs. And, each year, we give more than $1,000 through our scholarship program to select Novi High School seniors for their college careers.
